The only problem was crowded parking

I like the location and the room. It's close to the market and downtown. I also like that th ebreakfast starts a t 6 am.

Breakfast is more Thai than Western but there are plenty of local western style eateries locally. We normally book a slightly larger room but forgot and found the smallest rooms a bit tight. We could have upgraded if we wanted, the reception people are great when you have a question.

The lobby is beautiful. Teak and marble and kept in great shape, it is very welcoming. The staff are excellent from the men parking cars to the bellhops and front desk staff. The wait staff in the restaurants are also great.

Again, the staff here were great and the lobby was beautiful. That’s where the good part ends for us. To start there is no hot water maker or microwave in the room, so if you want coffee you have to go downstairs. I can’t recall any hotel in all my travels in Southeast Asia when that was the case. The water in the shower went from extreme hot to extreme cold with no warning, nearly burning my wife and I several times. (The water in the hotel is controlled from a central water heater system, not the usual wall unit). If you want an iron and ironing board they make you pay to use one. I don’t know how much because my wife was so disgusted she just hung up the phone. We found hair in the shower and this takes the cake; when my wife opened the package of q-tips for cleaning your ears, someone had used them and put them back. That’s not really the fault of the hotel, but the cleaning staff should check those things once in a while.

Again, no free alcohol. But there was a free mock tail upon arrival!

Was easy to get to. Good location with restaurants around. The staff was quick and professional.

The hotel was probably a luxurious hotel back in it's hayday but it is quite old and dated now. The rooms felt very old with a large light console by the bed, an awkward bathtub, and no plug ends by the bed (I need for my CPAP). They did provide power strips, but even those weren't log enough so I ended up putting my CPAP at the foot of my bed.There's some traffic going on and there wasn't parking. It's in a busy location and traffic can be bad.

Location, staff, room size and quality, A/C, Wi-Fi, lots of modern new electrical outlets, hot water without a wait. Quite a lot of facilities and character.

Beautiful building; old style. Marble in bathroom. Good size room.

Not up to date on outlets and plugs for electronics. Pillows need to have feather option. Bed a little hard

Friendly helpful staff, very attentive. Great pool. Central location, 7 11 laundry numerous restaurants nearby. Has a lot of character, especially reception.

I was told I would get a discount of 10% at the restaurant but was refused on my final bill even though I charges the food to my room. A blatant ripoff

need better signage at pool change rooms , people confused.and breafast need more variety, same menu every 3 or 4 days. BUT STILL GOOD
